The End Of An Era

Family-owned Equestrian Facility Since 1972
After 54 unforgettable years, Jamaica Bay Riding Academy will be closing its doors. What began as a family-owned business grew into something far greater - a home, a tradition, and a place where countless memories were made.
To our students: thank you for trusting us with your journeys, your growth, and your love for horses. Watching our riders take their first lessons, conquer fears, build confidence, and become lifelong equestrians has been a great honor.
To our staff, barn hands, volunteers, and everyone behind the scenes: your hard work, passion, and dedication made this place what it was. You gave your hearts every single day, and this academy would never have thrived without you.
To the families, friends, and community members who supported us through the decades: thank you for believing in us and helping create a space filled with laughter, learning, friendship, and unforgettable moments.
Jamaica Bay Riding Academy was never just about riding horses. It was about connection, resilience, and community. It was early mornings at the barn, the sound of hoofbeats, ribbons won and lessons learned, summer days spent together, and friendships that lasted a lifetime.
While this chapter comes to an end, the memories, traditions, and lives touched here will continue far beyond these barn doors. Every rider, every horse, every smile, and every story will forever remain part of the academy’s legacy.
After years of dedication, strength, and loyal service, the time has come for our hardworking horses to enjoy the peaceful retirement they have truly earned. These incredible animals have carried us through countless days with patience, spirit, and unwavering heart, and we are forever grateful for everything they have given to our students and community.
While it is bittersweet to say goodbye, we are happy knowing they will now spend their days resting, grazing, and being cared for with the same love they have always known.Their legacy will always remain a part of us, and they will never be forgotten. Thank you to everyone who supported and cared for them throughout the years. Please join us in wishing our beloved horses a happy and well deserved retirement.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for 54 incredible years.
With love and gratitude,
The Danza Family
