Group Trail Rides - 13 years and older
Take advantage of some of the most scenic horseback riding New York has to offer. A scenic pleasurable ride through our
beautiful wooded horseback trails and along our beach with a guide for approximately 40 minutes. Our trail rides are available
7 days a week. Click here for pricing. Weekend and holiday tours start from 10am – 4pm randomly. Weekday tours leave at 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm. You must be 13 years of age or older. Safety helmets are required and offered for children under the age of 16. This is a walking trail only. Click here for pricing.
Private Trail Rides *(Highly recommended)* 6 years and older
Take a private ride with one of our professional riding instructors for 50 minutes which is available by appointment only. There is a
minimum of 2 people required. This is designed to cater to familiesor groups who would like more personal attention or advanced riding. Packages are available for discounts and the minimum age is 6 years old. Evening rides are available Tuesday and Thursday until 8pm. Click here for pricing.
Pony Rides - 8 years and younger
Take your child out for walk on one of our ponies. Ponies are available for parents to walk their children. The child must be 8 years of age or younger and you can also opt to have someone walk your child for an additional fee. Click here for pricing.
Club Rides
Club riding is something we offer to experienced clients ofJamaica Bay Riding Academy. These rides are for clients that can take a horse out on the beach or into the Riding Ring, unaccompanied by an instructor or guide. No appointment is necessary. Click here for pricing.
Lessons
If you’re interested in horseback riding in NY, Jamaica Bay Riding Academy offers professional instructors for every level and discipline. We offer expert horseback riding lessons for children and adults of all levels. For beginners, we have a nice selection of safe school horses and ponies. Our advanced riders compete at horse shows throughout the year. Whether your aspiration is to compete on the "A" circuit or the local schooling shows, our trainers will consult with you and evaluate your riding to determine the best program to bring out the full potential of your riding experience. •Minimum of 12 children.
•Pony rides are approximately 45 minutes (4 ponies to 12 children ratio)
•Total party time is 1 ½ hours.
•Hamburgers, hot dogs, or pizza with French fries and soda.
•No noise making toys please!
•Food and beverages are available for all guests (NO OUTSIDE FOOD PLEASE)

Certified Therapeutic Riding Program - *NARHA Certified Therapeutic Riding Center*
This program is developed for individuals with special needs. With the help of skilled horses, a team of certified instructors and volunteers, students are taught the foundations of equine behavior. Riders can experience increased balance, muscle control and strength while working in a positive atmosphere.
