Jamaica Bay Riding Academy is proud to present The Metropolitan Equestrian Team competing under the Interscholastic Equestrian Association. The formation of this team has brought opportunity to students to compete both locally and nationally. It is to introduce students in private and public middle and high schools (grades 6-12) to equestrian sports, to provide information concerning the creation and development of school associated equestrian programs, to develop understanding and appreciation of equestrian sports through organized student competitions, to provide students with organized competitive events and to provide additional equine educational opportunities. Riders do not need a horse to participate on the team.

COMPETITIVE TEAM

Competitive Team Practice will start on Wednesday August 15th @ 6:00pm, please arrive 30 minutes prior. Practices are roughly 1½ long. Riders must be picked up @ 8:00pm. Riders must be dressed appropriately - Breeches, Tall boots or Half Chaps with paddock boots for those who do not own tall boots, belt, polo shirt and with a v neck sweater over it if it is chilly out, and of course, a Helmet. Any other attire is unacceptable.
